About Plantrino

Free Australian calculators for tax, mortgage, super, salary, BMI and more.

Our Mission

Plantrino was created with one simple goal: to provide free, accurate and easy-to-use Australian financial and lifestyle calculators for everyone. We believe that useful tools and information should be accessible to all — without paywalls, sign-ups or hidden fees.

Most calculator websites are built for an American audience: US tax brackets, 401(k)s, imperial units by default. Australians deserve tools that speak their language — the ATO, superannuation, stamp duty that changes by state, the financial year that starts on 1 July. That gap is why Plantrino exists.

What We Offer

We provide around 100 free calculators across tax, mortgages and property, salary and work, savings and investing, debt, and health — plus a growing library of plain-English guides that explain the ideas behind the numbers. Every tool on Plantrino is designed to be simple, fast and mobile-friendly. You can use any tool instantly without creating an account or providing personal information.

The calculators and guides are built to work together: a calculator gives you your number, and the matching guide explains what that number means and what typically moves it. Neither asks anything of you in return.

Who We Are

Plantrino is an independent website run by a small Australia-based team, not a bank, broker or lender. We have no financial products to sell and no commissions riding on the results our tools show you. That independence is deliberate: a mortgage calculator built by a lender has a reason to make borrowing look comfortable; ours does not. We serve users across Australia, with visitors also arriving from the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.

Where Our Numbers Come From

Australian rates and thresholds change, usually at the start of each financial year on 1 July. When our tools and guides rely on specific figures — tax rates, the superannuation guarantee, GST — we work from official Australian sources such as the Australian Taxation Office and Moneysmart, and we review content against the current financial year's settings. Where a figure is likely to change or depends on your circumstances, our guides say so plainly and point you to the official source rather than pretending the number is permanent.

How We Keep Things Current

Each new financial year brings updated rates, and we treat 1 July as our deadline for reviewing the tax-related tools and guides. Between those major reviews we fix errors as readers report them — the fastest way to improve a free tool is a user who tells us where it is wrong, and we genuinely welcome those emails.

Accuracy & Disclaimer

All tools on Plantrino are designed for informational and educational purposes only. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, results should not be used as a substitute for professional advice. Tax, lending, superannuation and health decisions depend on personal circumstances a general calculator cannot see. Always consult a qualified professional — an accountant, licensed financial adviser, or your GP — for important decisions.

Advertising

Plantrino is supported by Google AdSense advertising. Ads help us keep all tools completely free. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
